Forgiveness

Books, Web Sites and Popular Music

There are four editions of A Course in Miracles.  The facim.org edition (or the blue book as known by ACIM students) was the first one published and is therefore the one most read and well known.  Once copyright issues were resolve, other editions of ACIM were allowed to publish.  This resulted in the following three additional editions: the sparkly edition, the urtext, and the new edition of ACIM published by The Circle of Atonement.  All are available at www.amazon.com.

A Course in Miracles (ACIM) is one of the most significant inspirational sources for seekers of forgiveness as a path to inner peace. It is so unique that I felt I had to quote from the preface of the  FACIM publication, An Introduction to A Course in Miracles.  www.facim.org

A Course in Miracles is a 1200 page, three volume book. It is also a phenomenon, a work whose content and characteristics, whose history and impact on the world are so unique that there are no neat labels or categories for it… Its teachings, again falling outside of preexisting molds, combines the insights of contemporary psychology, with the spiritual wisdom of the East, and much of the essence of Christianity. The Course, however, is more than an abstract philosophy and includes a highly specific training program in the practical application of its principles, focusing on forgiveness in the area of relationships.”

A Course in Miracles (new edition by Circle of Atonement) Robert Perry a longtime ACIM student has re-edited ACIM based on the original handwritten notes of Helen Shucman who channeled ACIM. Many believe this to be truer to Jesus’ original transmissions through Helen Shucman.  Even more than the Sparkly edition, this version of ACIM contains more language of the heart and many of the inconsistencies of the original edition have been corrected. If you are just starting, this is the edition I would recommend.

A Course in Miracles (Sparkly edition)  This is the edition that William Thetford, one of the original scribes, edited.   While the bulk of the content is the same as the first publishing of ACIM, more heart words were left in and it has less of an intellectual feel to it.

A Course in Miracles (urtext edition)   Many devotees of ACIM feel that the urtext best conveys Jesus’ teachings as it contains much of the material that was left out of the blue book and also the majority of the comments and explanations from Jesus to Helen and Bill were left in.

A Course of Love (ACOL) is continuation of the teachings begun by Jesus in ACIM.  The first receiver is Mari Perron.   The purpose is to join the mind and heart in wholeheartedness.  In the foreword, Jesus says “This is a course for the heart.  The birthplace of the new.” I had been a student of ACIM for many years before reading ACOL.  It was this teaching that brought me into the heart and returned me to an awareness of my Christed Self.  It is from ACOL that I learned my true calling to the way of Mother Mary. www.courseoflove.org  Mari’s website is www.acenterforacourseoflove.org

A Way of Mastery (WOM) is another important course of teachings from Jesus (Jeshua) as channeled through Jayem (Jon Marc Hammer). As Jesus exists in union inside each one of use, he is well aware of the different ways people learn and process information.  This is a book that takes you directly into the heart through the use of breath work and embodiment practices. www.wayofmastery.com

Casarjian, Robin, Forgiveness A Bold Choice for a Peaceful Heart.
Casarjian draws on the philosophy of A Course In Miracles to demonstrate why letting go of the past and embracing forgiveness is the key to inner peace. She draws on years of experience working with prisoners. She now runs The Lionheart Foundation that teaches the principles of forgiveness to prisoners through the book, Houses of Healing.  She does extraordinary work.

Einhorn, Lois, Forgiveness and Child Abuse, Would You Forgive?
This is an incredibly powerful book about forgiveness. Einhorn experienced unspeakable abuse as a child from her parents who also forced her and her sister to torture each other and animals. During her spiritual quest to try and forgive herself and her parents, Einhorn sent a letter to a wide-variety of influential people in many fields to ask them if they would forgive. Their responses vary greatly and will cause you to question your own beliefs about forgiveness. Einhorn’s closing writing about how she finally forgave herself and her parents is extraordinarily moving and a powerful healing message for the world.

Ferrini, Paul, The Bridge to Reality, and The Gospel According to Jesus

I highly reccommend all books written by Paul Ferrini especially those that are part of his Reflections of a Christ Mind series. Ferrini was originally a teacher of A Course in Miracles although does not claim that mantle anymore.  Nevertheless, all his teachings and writings are informed by the Course and reflect its principles. The Gospel According to Jesus is a channeled teaching from Jesus. I find his emphasis on forgiving our wounded self in order to be able to forgive ohers especilally compelling and helpful.

Kribbe, Pamela, The Christ Within

I loved all of this book.  Pamela Kribbe channels Jeshua, Mary Magdalene, Mother Mary and Mother Earth.  All of the teachings describe how to embrace the rising of the divine feminine in union with divine masculine to help heal the predominate negative masculine energy into wholeness and thus return us to Christ Consciousness.  I was uplifted and transformed.  www.jeshua.net

Heartsong, Claire, Anna the Grandmother of Jesus and Anna, The Voice of the Magdalenes

These two books blew me out of the box into multidimensional thinking bringing me into an awareness and better understanding of parallel lives. They explain the Essene/Magdalene community that  prepared for and welcomed Jeshua. It will change your understanding of Mary Magdalene and the women and men involved in Jeshua’s life and ministry.  This book prepared me to receive The Sophia Code.

Jampolsky, Gerald G., Love is Letting Go of Fear

Dr. Jampolsky is a student of A Course In Miracles (ACIM) which changed his life and guides his practice with children with emotional and behavioral struggles. This is just one of many books he has written on forgiveness. It is an excellent book for people who want a simple step by step approach to embracing forgiveness but do not feel comfortable with the metaphysics of ACIM.

Judith Coates, Jeshua The Personal Christ Volume IV, The Interdimensional Self, The Way to Peace

Judith Coates has been channeling Jeshua for many years. I loved this book on the interdimensional self as it provided abetter understanding of how powerful we are as beloved children of the Holy Mother Father. “the matrix of You, the interdimensional You, is the source of your power of expression and experience. It is out of the matrix, the interdimensional You, that you manifest every reality which you experience. Out of the matrix of You, you fashion every experience within every reality. You do it so wondrously in this reality that you do not even know you are doing it.”

Kaia Ra, The Sophia Code

I feel as if I have waited all my life for this channeled codex of Sophia God and seven Feminine Christ Ascended Masters. The back cover of the book says: “A declaration of your sovereign divinity, The Sophia Code is a visionary sacred text for the Divine Feminine Christ movement sweeping the planet now. This book is a living transmission encoded with direct revelations to activate your important role as a revolutionary wayshower for humanity’s awakening.” It dovetails beautifully with Jeshua’s channeled teachings in ACIM, ACOL and WOM.  This was the healing and catalyst I needed to become a Divine Feminine Christ Leader. www.kaira.com

Renard, Gary R., The Disappearance of the Universe

This is one of the best books to read if you want to learn about A Course In Miracles (ACIM). Spiritual awareness and learning is a life long journey. A few books have made a significant impact on me and deepened my spiritual understanding. This is such a book. Because of this book I became a student of ACIM.

Sanchez, Nouk and Tomas Viera, Take Me to Truth, Undoing the Ego.

This is the book that helped resolve many of my questions about other spiritual paths and their connections to  ACIM.  It provided great insight and wisdom on how to apply the principles of ACIM to everyday life and it led to a deep an abiding friendship and purpose with Nouk.

Sanchez, Nouk, The End of Death: The Deeper Teachings of A Course in Miracles trilogy.

Only volume one of the trilogy has been published, The Development of Trust.  These books help us examine our most cherished fear and attraction, which is death. Death is our last defense against the truth.  Once we have forgiven our attraction to the illusion of death, we return to Christ Consciousness.

Triffet, Carrie, Long Time No See.

Using a lot of humor Carrie describes her journey to becoming a student of ACIM.  The last chapter provides a crash course on ACIM and is the best condensed explanation of ACIM that I have ever read.

Music

The voice of the divine can be heard in all sorts of popular music.  It’s surprising how many popular songs when listened to as if Jeshua or Mother Mary or Buddha is singing can change the intent of the song.  For example, try listening to Jason Mraz’s song,  I Won’t Give Up as if Jeshua is singing it.  As I learned to listen differently, I started to hear the voice of the Divine everywhere. The artists I list here are a few of my favorites who consistently record spiritually uplifting love -filled music.

Some of the rock christian bands have some beautiful music that speaks to spirit from within rather than without.  Be careful as you listen so that the songs reflect the Christ within and does not promote worship as if Jesus is outside oneself.

Examples of powerful songs are: Bethel Music’s, No Longer Slaves (to Fear)  and Jesus Culture’s Rooftops.
